Serbian Protesters March Again Against Govt
For the seventh weekend in a row, protesters in Serbia on Saturday marched near major government institutions in the capital, Belgrade, putting more pressure on the government led by the Serbian Progressive Party and President Aleksandar Vucic to stop what they call the political violence in the country.

Fourth protest held in Belgrade/VIDEO
23The marchers called for the resignation of Serbia's interior minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and a new rally was scheduled for Jan. 5.
One of the organizers actor Branislav Trifunovic said that the minister should step down for not doing his job, and belittling the people.

Protesters Pile More Pressure on Serbian President
For the fourth Saturday in the row, anti-government protesters gathered in the Serbian capital Belgrade to raise their voice against political violence, thus demanding resignations of officials as well.
Columns of people marched near or past most of the major institutions, including parliament, government buildings, but also the public broadcaster, RTS.

Another protest announced for Saturday in Belgrade
The protest organizers announced this on Friday.
They said that the participants would walk from this location via Makedonska, Svetogorska, Takovska, and Kralja Milana streets to Slavija Square.

New protest held in Belgrade
The organizers announced that between 35,000 and 40,000 people took part, but Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic later cited police estimates that said 5,000 protesters attended the rally.
The protest opened with a moment of silence to honor the victims of a collision between a bus and a train in southern Serbia on Friday.

Serbia Constitutional Court Petitioned Over Threats Against Journalists
The group signing the appeal outside the court building in Belgrade on September 27 included three journalists: Antonela Riha, Tamara Skrozza, and Vukasin Obradovic; two actors: Branislav Trifunovic and Sergej Trifunovic; and nongovernmental activist Ilir Gasi.
'Monument to Michael Jackson' awarded in Santa Barbara
BELGRADE - "Monument to Michael Jackson", a movie by Serbian director and screenwriter Darko Lungulov, got the best Eastern European Film Award at 30th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
The movie was in the category comprising Eastern European movies, this being its American debut.
