The Bucharest Court of Appeal ordered today the reopening of the investigation against the former Gendarmerie heads in the August 10 rally case, after granting the complaint filed by a protester.

The Bucharest Tribunal has Tuesday rejected the request by the DIICOT (Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crimes and Terrorism) to reopen the criminal investigation against the former heads of the Gendarmerie in the "10 August" criminal case, in a definitive move.

The request of the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) to reopen the investigation into the 'August 10' rally case will not reach the Bucharest Tribunal directly, but will be delayed at least a month at the Supreme Court for the resolution of an appeal for a referral request to the Constitutional Court.
