Dacic: Dialogue with Pristina in very complex, decisive moment

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic told the UN Security Council on Thursday the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue was in a very complex, politically significant and perhaps decisive moment, and that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres's report on the work of UNMIK in Kosovo-Metohija partially demonstrated that an atmosphere of fear, uncertainty and pressure on Serbs and other non-

Belgrade and Pristina delegations "almost came to blows"

Dacic, who is also first deputy PM in the Serbian government, specified that those involved were himself and then Kosovo Justice Minister Hajredin Kuci.

Dacic made this statement after President Aleksandar Vucic said that Kuci on one occasion "jumped at Dacic during a meeting between Belgrade and Pristina delegations," and that he "had to come to his aid."

"Albanians and some in intl. community are lying to Vucic"

The First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister told RTS that the Albanians do not want compromise, but only recognition (of Kosovo). "There is no blackmail that can force Serbia to recognize an independent Kosovo," he said.

e also believes that Pristina and the international community should declare whether or not the Brussels agreement still exists.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he does not believe that a change to the format of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is possible.

Speaking for Prva TV late on Monday, Dacic also said that he had no information that former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice could become her country's special envoy for the Balkans.
