First woman, Black astronaut to make flight around Moon
NASA unveiled the crew on April 3 for its first human mission to the Moon in more than 50 year, including the first woman and Black man to voyage into deep space.
Christina Koch, a NASA astronaut who holds the record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman, will be a mission specialist on next year's Artemis II flight around the Moon.
Record-breaking US astronaut returns to Earth
NASA's Christina Koch returned to Earth safely Feb. 6 having shattered the spaceflight record for female astronauts after almost a year aboard the International Space Station.
Koch touched down at 0912 GMT on the Kazakh steppe after 328 days in space along with Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency and Alexander Skvortsov of the Russian space agency.
