One of the myths recently circulating on the internet, a fake story, is that Greece's deposed monarch, Constantine II, who was buried on Monday at Tatoi, "never opposed democracy." This is false. The late monarch opposed it by his activities and constantly opposed it by his omissions.

Without excess fervor
The Greek Republic on Monday demonstrated that it has nothing to fear from its past and its history. The funeral of the former king, Constantine II, was a smooth and dignified affair, without exhibitions of division.
After all, the Greek monarchy's chapter in the country's history ended once and for all 49 years ago.

Culture minister: Former royal palace at Tatoi to open to public by 2025
The former royal palace at Tatoi will be open to the public by 2025, Culture Minister Lina Mendoni has said, a day after former king Constantine II was buried alongside his ancestors at the former royal estate.
"Citizens will have access to the old palaces by 2025," she said, in an interview with private broadcaster Real FM radio.
