BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with the Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Zeljka Cvijanovic, in Belgrade on Monday.

PARIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Friday with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, where he is attending a peace forum.

"Meetings and good discussions at the peace forum," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

Milorad Dodik, the Bosnian Serb leader and Serbian member of the tripartite state presidency, will not be running for a second mandate in October, he has clarified.

Instead, Dodik, who has been sanctioned twice by the US and once by the UK, will be running for the post of president of Bosnia's Serb-majority entity, Republika Srpska.

"I protect the interests of those who elected me, and the interest of the Republika Srpska and Serbian people is to implement the Dayton Peace Agreement and the letter of the Constitution of Annex 4 of the Dayton Agreement. I think that is legitimate," Dodik said being hosted on our television show Drugi ugao ("From another angle").

The president of Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity, Zeljka Cvijanovic, presented controversial Austrian author Peter Handke with the Order of Republika Srpska on Friday in Banja Luka for "exceptional work and contribution in the field of cultural and spiritual development".

The rights organisation Transparency International, TI, in Bosnia and Herzegovina has called on Zeljka Cvijanovic, President of the Serb-led entity, Republika Srpska, to withdraw a decree banning the spread of panic and disorder during a state of emergency, saying that the Bosnia's constitution does not allow the entities to suspend the right to freedom of expression and opinion.

Bosniak leaders on Wednesday accused Bosnian Serb officials - who have stopped work on deciding any state-level matters, pending adoption of a new law on the Constitutional Court - of breaking the law.

After Dodik was named president of Republika Srpska and his party, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, secured a majority in the entity's assembly, he proposed incumbent premier Cvijanovic to head the new government on Sunday.

Serb entity "has right to self-determination" - PM

BANJA LUKA -- RS Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović has said that the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina "has a right to self-determination."

According to her, "the talk about a referendum, when it comes to the Serb Republic (RS), is not taboo nor is it artificially imposed from time to time."
