Activists and civil society organisations on Friday demanded the "immediate, irrevocable resignation" of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Darija Kisic Tepavcevic after a damning report revealed systemic, horrific neglect and even torture of children in social protection institutions across the country.

The 17th anniversary of ethnically-motivated violence against Serbs in Kosovo on March 17 and 18, 2004 was marked with a televised commemoration at the National Theatre in Belgrade on Wednesday.

"We procured these vaccines bilaterally, independently. We are probably the only country outside the EU in this part of Europe that managed to procure them. There will be more in February and March. Samples of other vaccines were sent for research," Vucic said.

Let people live normally.

5559 people were tested in the last 24 hours, and 227 patients were infected with the coronavirus until 3 pm on Wednesday.
A total of confirmed cases of coronavirus is 8.724 among 78.942 tested. To date, 2.470 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals, including 78 who are on respirators.
Three of the deceased are male and two are female.

As said, a total of 531 users and 131 employees in 30 social care institutions in the country were infected.
According to Dr Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, a total of 169 cases were registered at the Gerontology Center in Nis. Those who recovered have been returned to the Center.

In that period, 2,440 people were tested, 411 of which were positive, said the deputy director of the Batut Institute, Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, at a news conference at the Palace of Serbia.
A total of people tested positive in Serbia since the first case appeared on March 6, was 4.465, while 3.006 are hospitalised, while 131 are currently on ventilators.
