Georgia officials counted the final votes of the nation's turbulent 2020 election season early on Jan. 6 as polls closed in two critical races that will determine control of the U.S. Senate and, in turn, the fate of President-elect Joe Biden's legislative agenda.

President Donald Trump is pressing his grievances over losing the presidential election, using a weekend rally to spread baseless allegations of misconduct in last month's voting in Georgia and beyond even as he pushed supporters to turn out for a pair of Republican Senate candidates in a runoff election in January.

Donald Trump Jr wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that he agrees with a suggestion by Republican senator David Perdue that the US should "reconsider its presence" in Kosovo if Pristina does not agree to fully revoke its 100 per cent tariffs on imports from Serbia.

He also stressed that if Kosovo is not fully committed to peace, the US should reconsider its presence there.
Commenting on the situation on Kosovo territory, Perdue reminded on his Twitter account that for more than two decades, US forces have been helping to maintain peace between Belgrade and Pristina.
