Prosecutor rejects new appeal for N17 terrorist's furlough
A prosecutor in the town of Volos has rejected again a request to grant a convicted terrorist a new prison leave, Kathimerini understands, despite an appeal by the Supreme Court prosecutor to rethink the ruling.

Roughly a month ago, just after a bunch of self-styled anarchists ran amok on Voukourestiou Street in downtown Athens, a "leading" yet nameless member of the anti-establishment Rouvikonas (Greek for Rubicon) group heralded the siege of downtown Athens by supporters of November 17 hitman Dimitris Koufodinas.

Revolt charges to thwart prisoners’ leave, release plans
A total of 20 prison inmates, including November 17 hitman Dimitris Koufodinas, are to face charges of insurgence in connection with a protest in solidarity with a hunger-striking anarchist in February 2018, and could see their right to furlough or early release suspended under new legal provisions, Kathimerini understands.

Leading member of Rouvikonas anarchist group released on bail
A leading member of the anarchist group Rouvikonas who was arrested in connection with the vandalism of the Parliament building on May 21 was released on Thursday after paying 30,000 euros in bail.
The man has been released pending trial on criminal charges of defacing a historical monument and has been banned from leaving the country.
N17 terrorist Koufodinas discharged from hospital
Dimitris Koufodinas, the convicted hitman of the November 17 terrorist group, was discharged from a hospital in Volos, central Greece, yesterday where he had been taken almost a month ago after going on hunger strike to protest the refusal of a furlough request.

The phone rang at the Avlona juvenile detention facility, north of Athens, on Friday, July 24, 2015, with the announcement from a high-ranking Justice Ministry official that Koufodinas was going to be transferred there. "Koufodinas who?" inquired the perturbed clerk. "The one you're thinking about. He'll have all the proper paperwork," came the answer.
