Relevant prosecutor extends anonymity to 2 witnesses whose claims triggered years of investigation against 10 politicians

A relevant magistrate in the financial crimes prosecutor's office on Tuesday extended, by two years, the protected status for two controversial witnesses who had leveled allegations against 10 top office-holders, including past prime ministers, of receiving kickbacks from Novartis' Greek subsidiaries.

The judiciary has sent to Parliament the testimony of former caretaker PM and current Vice Premier Panagiotis Pikrammenos - who previously served as president of the Council of State - in which states his belief that former alternate justice minister Dimitris Papaggelopoulos was the person who implicated him in the Novartis scandal.

Corruption meeting on Borjan’s List with 10,000+ Greeks with money abroad

Alternate Justice Minister for Corruption issues Dimitris Papaggelopoulos chaired a second meeting on the so-called “Borjan’s List” on Monday. The list includes 10,588 bank accounts belonging to Greeks at a Swiss branch of UBS with total deposits at 6.5 billion euros, supplied to Greece by the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
