The bill from the Ministry of Digital Governance titled “Completion of the Land Registry, Simplification of Procedures, Use of Artificial Intelligence, and Provisions for the Operation of the Public Legal Entity ‘Greek Cadastre'” has been approved.

The main provisions relate to a series of interventions, such as:

Starting from 8:30 AM today, Monday, the new platform id.gov.gr is operational.

Citizens can easily and user-friendly schedule digital appointments for the issuance of a new type of identity card or for its replacement due to changes in personal information, expiration, wear and tear, or age.

A package of specific measures to reduce the monthly cost of fast Internet tariffs by up to €10 are being promoted by the government and the Ministry of Digital Governance, aiming to accelerate the growth prospects opened up by the transition to the digital era.

An artificial intelligence application that will reduce the time required for the legal review of contracts submitted to the land registry was presented on Wednesday by the minister of digital governance.

The application, which is currently being piloted, will verify that all the information in a contract is accurate and automatically recommend its approval or rejection.

On September 30, applications for the acquisition of state-owned properties by individuals in 20 regional units of the country will begin, while from October 31, applications will be accepted for properties throughout the country.

For the first time, candidates of the Public Schools of Higher Vocational Training can be informed via SMS text message about their admission results, according to a decision co-signed by the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Ioanna Lytrivi.
