Minimum wage to rise to €830
The government has decided to raise the minimum wage to around 830 euros gross and €705 net as of April 1. Labor Minister Domna Michailidou submitted her proposal to the cabinet secretariat on Friday, with the final decision to be announced next Wednesday by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Working pensioners stand to reap benefits
Working pensioners have four months to apply on the special platform of the Single Social Security Entity (EFKA) to have the 10% special contribution deducted from their wage which will eventually lead to an increase in their pensions to the tune of up to 3,500 euros annually.

EFKA debt deadline notice
The Single Social Security Entity (EFKA) started sending 281,000 email messages to freelancers, self-employed professionals and farmers with debts of less than 2,000 euros each, in order for them to pay off or at least arrange their debts and maintain their insurance capacity by the end of the month.

Gov’t intends to introduce digital labor card to all sectors
The government intends to implement the digital labor card across all employment sectors, Minister of Labor and Insurance Domna Michailidou said on Friday.

Minimum salary raise set to come earlier
The new, increased minimum salary is expected to be implemented this year from April 1, earlier than planned, with the new minister of labor and social security, Domna Michailidou, announcing the filing of an amendment to speed up the process "so that the new increase can be taken into account for the tourism season."
