Editor-in-chief of Beta News Agency Dragan Janjic passed away
Janjic was born on October 6, 1955 in Lopare, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, and began his journalistic career at the Tanjug agency, where he worked from 1983 to 1994 as a journalist, reporter and editor.
Bosnian Serb Ex-Policeman Jailed for Wartime Rape
The appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court on Thursday found Dragan Janjic guilty, in his capacity as a former police officer, of hitting and then raping a woman at the police station in Miljevina in the Foca municipality during the war in August 1992.

Bosnian Serb Ex-Policeman Retried for Wartime Rape
The retrial of Dragan Janjic began on Monday at the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court in Sarajevo after part of the first-instance verdict, under which he was sentenced to seven years for rape in the Foca area in August 1992, was quashed.
The hearing opened with the restatement of testimonies given by the woman who was raped and a defence witness.

Man arrested for making threats against agency editor
It is suspected that he sent Dragan Janjic, editor-in-chief of Beta agency, a text message in which, among other things, he stated - "If there is unrest on Saturday, it seems to me that Beta will be burned."
News agency condemns threats against editor
The news agency announced this on Monday, citing a statement issued by its collegium.
"We call on the competent state institutions to find and punish anyone who sent threats to Dragan Janjic through social networks and published his home address, endangering his safety and that of his family," the statement siad.
