Logar presents Slovenia’s EU presidency priorities in Finland

Helsinki, 14 January – Foreign Minister Anže Logar paid a working visit to Finland on Thursday to meet his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto and Europe Minister Tytti Tuppurainen. He was also received by President Sauli Niinisto. Logar presented the priorities of Slovenia’s EU presidency in the second half of the year.

Logar calls for more business cooperation with the Netherlands

The Hague – Foreign Minister Anže Logar met his counterpart Stefan Blok as part of his working visit to the Netherlands on Tuesday to discuss cooperation, Slovenia’s EU presidency, and topical issues. Logar expressed interest in strengthening economic cooperation between Slovenia and the Netherlands, especially in digitalisation and green technology.

Logar to meet Italian colleague on-line, visit Vatican Friday

Ljubljana – Foreign Minister Anže Logar is expected to hold talks with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on Thursday, although virtually and not in-person as was originally scheduled, as Di Maio is self-isolating. Logar will nevertheless travel to Rome, as he is also scheduled to visit the Holy See on Friday.

Slovenia to sign memorandum on civilian nuclear cooperation with US

Ljubljana – Slovenia is to sign a memorandum of understanding on strategic civilian nuclear cooperation with the US. The document expresses the desire of both countries for deeper bilateral strategic ties, which would improve energy security, increase prosperity and strengthen political and economic ties, the Slovenian government has said.

Logar talks EU presidency challenges, rule of law at Berlin Forum
