Istanbul named among world’s best cities in 2021
A U.K.-based culture magazine has picked the world's best 37 cities, ranking Turkey's largest metropolis Istanbul in the list.
Out of the 37 ranked cities chosen by the Time Out magazine, San Francisco made it to the top of the list and was followed by Amsterdam and Manchester, while Istanbul was listed 36th.
Copenhagen, New York and Montreal were also at the top of the list.

Sea taxis to begin serving in Istanbul by end-September

Ferhan Şensoy laid to rest in Istanbul
Veteran theater actor Ferhan Şensoy, who died on Aug. 31 after being hospitalized on July 2 due to internal bleeding, cardiovascular diseases and respiratory failure, was laid to rest yesterday.

Fire in Istanbul industrial site damages 50 factories
A huge fire broke out in Istanbul on Aug. 31, damaging more than 50 factories.

Flames broke out at a factory in an industrial site in İkitelli neighborhood on the European side of the province. Its source is yet to be determined.
Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi turns into museum
The restoration work initiated in 2015 by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to convert the historical Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi (gashouse) into a museum and cultural center has been completed.
After being restored to its original form, the historical building will now serve as the Museum Gazhane.

NASA salutes ‘glowing Istanbul’
NASA has posted a night image of Istanbul taken from the International Space Station (ISS) on social media, with a message saying, "Hey Istanbul, you are glowing."
The image was captured by the International Space Station on May 10 as it orbited 263 miles (around 423 kilometers) above the Black Sea, NASA said in a post on Instagram.
