Helmut Middendorf | Athens | April 27 – July 15
The Eleni Koroneou Gallery (koroneougallery.com) presents a selection of paintings and works on paper by German neo-expressionist Helmut Middendorf, which were created in the period from 1977 to 1988 and were chiefly inspired by daily life, pop culture, and the nightlife and music scene of Berlin's historic Kreuzberg district. The exhibition also includes his early Super-8 films.

Lesvos earthquake: Victim bed ridden during tremor (photos-videos)
Eleni, 43, the unfortunate woman who was crushed under the rubble of her house in the village of Vrisa after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Lesvos, Monday, had been bed-ridden fro the last 2 years, as she suffered from terminal cancer. The mother of two, whose husband George was pulled out from under the collapsed building is in hospital.

The data comes from Wikiwand and revealed that George was the most popular name given to males in Greece, with Maria topping the list for females. John and Konstantinos came in 2nd and 3r, respectively, while Eleni and Katerina made up the top 3 for women.

The family of 20-year-old student, Vangelis Giakoumakis, from Crete is searching for the young man who went missing from his home 21 days ago. Giakoumakis was a student at the Dairy School of Ioannina, capital of Epirus in north-western Greece.
