In the pastoral village of Budakova/Budakovo in Kosovo's Suhareka/Suva Reka municipality, Hoxhaj then joins some of his former guerrilla comrades in the garden of a nearby café.

Ahead of the expected resumption of the stalled dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, from which Kosovo declared independence in 2008, Kosovo leader Albin Kurti is coming under domestic pressure to get the United States involved in the European Union-facilitated process.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has dismissed 12 ambassadors acting on a proposal by the Foreign Ministry to recall all the country's politically appointed ambassadors.

"President Osmani has acted in accordance with the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the President's office told BIRN.

One week after unexpectedly announcing his resignation as prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj convened his cabinet on Friday amid uncertainty about whether or not his government is now legally entitled to take any decisions before new elections.

Haradinaj said that "approach of a part of the international community in relation to dialogue with Belgrade raises the need for Kosovo to become armed".

The Kosovo president said in a statement to Klan Kosova broadcaster that the decision was "right and sincere," but that, as he specified, "three or four government carriers" should not be abusing it for other interests, which are detrimental to Kosovo's interests.

The Kosovo government decided on Tuesday to impose a customs tariff of ten per cent on products made in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Leading among them are the Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium.

Analyst of the European Institute for Politics of Kosovo Taulant Krueziu, says that instead of increasing, the number of EU countries that encourage visa liberalization for Kosovo is actually falling.

Germany's ambassador in Belgrade, Axel Dittmann, has denied that Berlin wants EU foreign police chief Federica Mogherini replaced as the organiser of EU-led negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo on normalisation of relations.
