Turkish Cyprus authorities have introduced a new arrangement to ensure that tourists who come to the island have a safe and healthy holiday without mandatory quarantine.

Turkey sent 40,000 more doses of a coronavirus vaccine early on April 20 to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). 

A Turkish Health Ministry plane carrying the vaccine doses landed at Ercan International Airport in Lefkoşa, where officials of the TRNC's Health Ministry received the shipment.

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has no intention of closing Quran courses, Prime Minister Ersan Saner said on April 18. 

Turkey's communications director reacted on April 15 to a court ruling on the closure of Quran courses in North Cyprus, saying the decision "is the product of an ideological and dogmatic mind."

Turkey's Vice President Fuat Oktay on March 10 called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minster Ersan Saner to wish him a speedy recovery on behalf of Turkey after the premier undergoing an angiography.

Saner had the imaging test performed at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital because of complaints of tightness in his chest.

Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) signed a financial cooperation agreement on March 4. 

The signing ceremony for the Turkey-TRNC 2021 Economic and Monetary Cooperation Agreement was held after Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay received TRNC Prime Minister Ersan Saner and his commission.

Prime Minister Ersan Saner said on Feb. 19 that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will gradually ease coronavirus restrictions beginning Feb. 22. 

After a decline in cases, businesses and economic activities will gradually open.

A curfew will be imposed between 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. (0600GMT - 0300GMT) on weekdays, except to address basic needs.

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has extended its full-scale curfew to stem the spread of COVID-19 until Feb. 22.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Ersan Saner following a Cabinet meeting on Feb. 13.

Pharmacies, groceries, supermarkets, bakeries and stores selling basic supplies will be exempted from the curfew.

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay will pay a working visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Feb. 10-11.

Oktay will be accompanied by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun and President of Digital Transformation Office Ali Taha Koç.

An overnight curfew in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will begin as of Jan. 17 to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus.

A Council of Ministers meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ersan Saner approved additional measures, as COVID-19 cases rose in Northern Cyprus.
