Ankara condemns US for lifting arms embargo on Greek Cyprus
Türkiye has strongly condemned the expansion of the scope of the decision taken by the U.S. in September 2020 to lift the arms embargo on Greek Cyprus, the Turkish Foreign Ministry has said.
In a statement issued on Sept. 17, the ministry highlighted that the country "fully supports" the reaction of Turkish Cyprus authorities regarding the decision.

Tatar criticizes Greek Cypriots over PKK terrorist organization
Turkish Cypriot President Ersin Tatar criticized the activities of the Greek Cypriot administration while speaking at an event in Kyrenia on June 19.
"Although Greek Cypriots talk about peace and neighborly relations, they continue their discontent and immoral activities against Türkiye," he said.
Two ex-EOKA militants confess to killing Turks in 1960s on TV
Speaking at a TV interview, two former hitmen of the Greek Cypriot terror organization EOKA have confessed to killing some 68 Turks and "throwing them into a pit" in the 1960s.

New coalition government in Turkish Cyprus approved
A new coalition government has been established in Turkish Cyprus, headed by prime minister Faiz Sucuoğlu.
Turkish Cyprus' 39th government was announced with a statement on early April 25 after President Ersin Tatar's approval.
