Coronavirus death toll reaches 1,518 with 69,392 total cases

Turkey's confirmed cases of the coronavirus increased by 4,281 in the past 24 hours, and 115 more people have died, taking the death toll to 1,518, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on April 15.

Turkey's total confirmed cases stood at 69,392, he said.

Some 875 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, Koca added.

Coronavirus death toll reaches 1,296, with 61,049 total cases

Turkey's death toll from the coronavirus outbreak increased by 98 to 1,296 on April 13, while the number of confirmed cases from the disease rose by 4,093 to 61,049, the Health Minister said.

The total number of recovered cases stood at 3,957, Fahrettin Koca shared in a Twitter post. 

Coronavirus death toll rises to 812, with 38,226 total cases

Turkey's death toll from the coronavirus outbreak increased by 87 to 812 on April 8, while the number of confirmed cases from the disease rose by 4,117 to 38,226, the Health Minister said.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases surged to 38,226 as 4,117 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca told via a Twitter post. 

Turkish doctor succumbs to coronavirus

A Turkish doctor has died after contracting coronavirus from his patient.

Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu, who succumbed to the disease on April 1, was a professor of Internal Medicine at Istanbul University.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, professor Dr. Tufan Tükek, dean of Istanbul University, said Taşçıoğlu had tested positive for the virus and was being treated since March 16.
