Turkey says may begin oil exploration under Libya deal in 3-4 months
Turkey may begin oil exploration in the eastern Mediterranean within three or four months under a deal it signed with Libya that was condemned by others in the region including Greece, Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said on Friday.
Fatih vessel to carry out drilling work in Black Sea after May 29: Erdoğan
Turkey's Fatih drilling vessel is set to sail off to the Black Sea on May 29, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said at the inauguration ceremony of the Democracy end Freedoms Island.
"Our Fatih drilling ship will cross the Bosphorus on 29 May and go to the Black Sea for a new drilling," he said on May 27.
Turkey breaks electricity generation record with renewables, domestic coal
Turkey has broken a new record in generating electricity through domestic and renewable sources, the energy minister has said.
"Our national energy [production] continues to be renewed as our investments bear fruits," Fatih Dönmez said in a tweet on May 26.

Third Turkish drillship reaches its Mediterranean coast
Turkey's third drillship arrived in Taşucu, Mersin, a coastal city in the Mediterranean region of the country on March 15, the energy minister said.
Fatih Dönmez said that the Turkish Petroleum Corporation took the ship into its inventory on Jan. 31 and it set off from the U.K.
Turkey procures its third drilling vessel from UK
Turkey has procured its third drilling vessel form the U.K. which is set to arrive in Turkey in a few weeks, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has said.
Turkey will continue to work unabated in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, he said on Feb. 24 at an energy and natural resources summit.

Turkey ‘determined’ to expand gas exploration drive to Libya’s offshore waters
Turkey plans to expand its gas exploration drive to Libya's offshore waters, Ibrahim Kalin, a Turkish presidential spokesman was cited as saying on Thursday.
"Because of our agreement with the official government of Libya, we will continue with seismic research and drilling in the Eastern Mediterranean but also in areas we agreed on with Libya," he said.
