Görmez offers replacing funeral march with classical Ottoman hymn
Turkey's Directorate General of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) head Mehmet Görmez has offered replacing the funeral march with Quran verses or an Ottoman hymn during the funerals of the fallen soldiers, as he cited letters from the families of the victims.

Turkey's top court details ruling on pianist Say, says 'freedom is essential'
Turkey's Supreme Court of Appeals has completed a detailed ruling in its earlier reversal decision of a 10-month jail sentence handed down to world-renowned Turkish pianist and composer Faz?l Say on blasphemy charges, highlighting the need for "a tolerant and wide view for the sake of a free society."
Faz?l Say awarded secularism prize in Paris
World-renowned Turkish pianist Faz?l Say was awarded the "2015 International Secularism Prize" (Prix de la Laïcité) by the France Committee of Secularism on Oct. 26.
The event was hosted at the Paris Municipality Building with the attendance of French Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, along with other guests.
