Tourism with cautious optimism ahead of summer season
Ljubljana – Slovenian tourism providers are cautiously optimistic ahead of the summer tourism season in light of a major decline in the epidemic. Roughly half the accommodation facilities are open, whereas the bulk of the other half will welcome guests again in early June.
Ministry looking to ease restrictions on hotel occupancy
Ljubljana – The Economy Ministry supports the proposal from hotel operator representatives that the limit for the number of rooms that may be open in an individual establishment is not expressed in the absolute number of 30 units but as a percentage. It hopes it will get relevant approval from the expert advisory group next week.
Food-processing chain joining forces with hospitality sector, tourism
Ljubljana – A memorandum was signed on Tuesday to establish an inter-sector chain of the food-processing, hospitality and tourism sectors, which were hit hard by the coronavirus epidemic. The idea is to form an efficient business model for long-term strategic partnership between food and drinks suppliers, and the hospitality and tourism sectors.
