President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has signed off on diplomatic and administrative appointments, marking changes in positions within Turkish missions abroad and several public institutions.

Turkish athletes bagged a total of 13 medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which ended on Aug. 8, making it the most successful Games ever for their country in terms of total medals won.

Turkey grabbed two gold medals, two silvers and nine bronze medals while also being represented for the first time in the final of some events.

Chinese gymnast Zou Jingyuan won a gold medal in men's parallel bars at Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Aug. 3 as Turkey has bagged its first medal in gymnastics.

Zou scored 16.233 points at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre.

Germany's Lukas Dauser won a silver medal with 15.700 points while

Turkish athlete Ferhat Arıcan clinched a gold medal at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, the International Gymnastics Federation confirmed on June 26.

CEC Members were arrested in the town of Slavyanovo, Pleven region. The arrest came after a number of reports on vote-buying, one of which was lodged by "Stand up! Mafiosi out!" this morning, reported Maya Manolova's team.

Turkish gymnast İbrahim Çolak on Dec. 13 earned gold medal at European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Turkey's Mediterranean port city of Mersin.

Çolak, 25, scored 15,000 points to bag the gold medal on men's ring for his country at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall.

The Turkish team in Men's Artistic Gymnastics of European Championships won silver medal on Dec. 12.

Ukraine notched 248.963 points to win the gold at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall in Turkey's Mediterranean port city of Mersin.

Silver went to Turkey with 244.793 points, while Hungary ranked third with 240.393.
