Papandreou rues not holding bailout referendum
Former premier George Papandreou said on Monday he regretted not insisting on a referendum over the Greek bailout before he left office in 2011.
Papandreou was prime minister from 2009 to 2011, when he resigned to make way for a national unity government during the outbreak of the Greek debt crisis.

Athens mayor says citizens' protection minister must step down
Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis on Tuesday said that the Greek capital is experiencing a "security vacuum" and called for the resignation of Citizens' Protection Minister Nikos Toskas.
Kaminis made his comments after a meeting with PASOK chief Fofi Gennimata, saying that he is "puzzled" by the ministry's inaction in response to spate of attacks on public infrastructure.
