Ex-FinMin Varoufakis seeks opposition proposals on NPLs
The head of the MeRA 25 party and former finance minister Yannis Varoufakis has sent a letter to the leaders of Greece's left and center-left opposition calling for alternative proposals to the center-right government's plan for clearing non-performing loans.

The decision by Alexis Tsipras and Fofi Gennimata to endorse Katerina Sakellaropoulou for the position of president of the Republic guarantees that the senior judge will be elected with a comfortable majority to the highest position of state in the first vote to be held in Parliament six days from now.
