Turkish foreign minister on Dec. 17 discussed the voluntary return of Syrians with his counterparts from Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Iraq's Mohamed Ali Alhakim, Jordan's Ayman Safadi and Lebanon's Gebran Bassil in Geneva, Switzerland where he attended the three-day Global Refugee Forum.

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos was on an official visit to Beirut on Thursday, where he stressed the importance of a trilateral partnership that has been forged between Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon.

Lebanon and Bulgaria agreed Friday to establish permanent direct flights between Beirut and Sofia, following Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil's meeting with Bulgarian officials in Sofia to discuss relations between the two countries, reports Albawaba.

Lebanon's foreign minister, Gebran Bassil, is on his first official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his counterpart Ekaterina Zaharieva.

Opportunities for deepening relations between Bulgaria and Lebanon were discussed by National Assembly Chairwoman Tsveta Karaiancheva and Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil.

Lebanon on Thursday warned its Mediterranean neighbors that a planned EastMed gas pipeline from Israel to the European Union must not be allowed to violate its maritime borders.

The document was signed by Serbian and Lebanese Agriculture Ministers Branislav Nedimovic and Ghazi Zeaiter.

Under the document, Serbia and Lebanon will further trade in agriculture and food products.

Serbia is looking to export baby beef, pork, meat products and raspberries and blueberries to Lebanon, which wants to export olive oil and citrus fruits to Serbia.

The included President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil and Minister of Agriculture Ghazi Zeaiter, the Serbian government announce.

Amid mounting tensions in Lebanon, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is set to meet his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil on Nov. 16.
