No More Nightlife and Casinos in Bansko
Bansko Municipality voted an ordinance banning the construction of more nightclubs, casinos and erotic bars in the resort. It is also forbidden to rebuild the existing ones, which are currently 20, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

Bansko. This year again, Bansko is a major festival destination and people know we do them really well, Mayor of Bansko Georgi Ikonomov told Focus Radio - Pirin. According to him, Bansko Balkan Fest generates a lot of interest and the resort will be filled with people, Bulgarians, as well as Greeks and Macedonians.
Protest "Future for Bansko Municipality" Closes Main Road E-79 on Wednesday
"Future for Bansko Municipality" warned that thew will close the main road E-79 on Wednesday in support of the construction of a second cabin line in the resort. This was reported on the Facebook of the association.
Recently the mayor of Bansko Georgi Ikonomov did not exclude the protests of the people from the city to move to the capital.
Protesters Want a Second Lift in Bansko Winter Resort
Protest requesting a second cabin lift in Bansko. Discontent is for years, as the only such cable lift has no capacity to serve tourists in the winter resort. According to the mayor of the town, Georgi Ikonomov, there was no legal obstacle to the construction of the facility. Currently, his team writes a proposal to the Council of Ministers, Nova TV reported.
State of Emergency Terminated in Bulgaria's Bansko
The state of emergency in Bulgaria's town of Bansko has been terminated by order of the mayor Georgi Ikonomov.
The state of emergency continued for 24 hours and was declared due to heavy rainfall which caused the river Glazne to overflow.
On Wednesday, the Glazne river washed away three bridges, flooding a ski road and local entertainment facilities.

Bulgaria's Bansko Slowly Recovering after Massive Flood
Authorities are to life the state of emergency in the southwestern Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko on Thursday as the situation is getting back to normal after heavy floods.
Emergency was declared by authorities on Wednesday after the Glazne river overflooded due to the rainfall of the previous 24 hours.
New Protests Begin Over Bansko Ski Zone
Protests on account of the suspended building of new cable cars in Bansko and the stopped expansion of the Pirin mountain ski zone will take place on Tuesday on the main road E79.
The time is set for 5:30 pm and the location will be the interconnection with the road to Simitli, as reported by the Bulgarian National Radio.

Bansko Opens Ski Season On December 13
Bulgaria's ski resort Bansko is ready for the ski season and officially opens it on December 13, said the town mayor Georgi Ikonomov, quoted by the Focus agency.
"We are working on the water treatment system and hopefully will manage to asphalt the streets before the tourists arrive," the mayor said.
