Surgeons from Bulgaria's Pleven have successfully performed two oncology surgeries, using the latest generation of the Da Vinci robotic system, announced the Bulgarian National Radio. 

The state-of-the-art private hospital "Sveta Marina" in Pleven was declared university hospital by the government at its meeting on Wednesday, reports Mediapool. 

The Medical University in Pleven implements a second Da Vinci Surgical System for mini invasive surgery. 

Since the end of March this year the latest generation Da Vinci Si system is performing surgery on patients and is being used for training of surgeons, said the head of the Endoscopic Center of the university, Professor Grigor Gorchev.
