Erdoğan's lawyers file complaints over CHP leader's 'political murder' remarks

Lawyers of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan filed a criminal complaint to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Oct. 18 regarding the allegation of "political murders" by main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and İYİ (Good) Party executives.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has filed a one-million-Turkish Lira lawsuit against main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) MP Engin Özkoç on accusations that he "insulted the president."

The lawsuit is due to his "impudent remarks" against the president, Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın said on his Twitter account.

State-run Ziraat Bank sees significant rise in net profits amid strong loan growth

State-owned Ziraat Bank, one of Turkey's largest lenders, announced late on Aug. 15 its second quarter net profits rose 21.7 percent on the year to 2.2 billion Turkish Liras ($622.37 million), mainly thanks to a strong growth in loans and net interest income.
