Prosecutors have received a second expert analysis of the revolver fired in the fatal shooting of a cinematographer by Alec Baldwin on the set of a Western film in New Mexico, as they weigh whether to refile charges against the actor.

A motion to dismiss the involuntary manslaughter case against armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed over the fatal 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the "Rust" movie set was denied by a New Mexico judge on Aug. 1.

The former weapons supervisor on the set of the movie "Rust" won't have to take a drug test as she confronts felony charges of evidence tampering and involuntary manslaughter in the on-set shooting death of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin.
