Romania’s State of Emergency Raises Media Freedom Concerns
The Centre for Independent Journalism, CJI, an NGO that promotes media freedom and good practices in journalism, has raised concern that provisions enacted as part of the state of emergency to combat the spread of the coronavirus in Romania could hamper journalists' ability to inform the public.
Serbian Journalists Protest Against Acts of Intimidation
Journalists in Serbia have staged a protest after a video targeted BIRN Serbia editor Slobodan Georgiev, calling him a "traitor".
The video was distributed via Twitter and also targeted other independent journalists and portals.

OSCE Condemns Threats against FT Balkan Correspondent
The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, OSCE, has condemned as "shameful and unacceptable" threats made online against the Balkan correspondent of the Financial Times.
The OSCE was responding to a Twitter post by Cvetin Cilimanov, journalist of the MIA state news agency and deputy head of the Macedonian Journalists Association, MAN.

Tsipras to receive French counterpart for talks on program, investments
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to receive his visiting French counterpart Bernard Cazeneuve for talks at the Maximos Mansion at noon on Friday that are expected to focus on the progress of the Greek program and French interest in investments.
Cazeneuve is in Athens with his Finance Minister Michel Sapin and Harlem Desir, France's minister of state for European affairs.
