President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called on millions of earthquake survivors to not give into pessimism as the government and the people of Türkiye continue to stand with them by providing assistance and new permanent shelters.

On the initiative of Bulgaria, a contract was signed today in Sofia between the operator of the gas transmission system "Bulgartransgaz", as well as the relevant companies in Romania ("Transgaz"), Hungary (FGSZ), Slovakia ("Eustream"), as well as the state oil company of the Republic Azerbaijan ("SOCAR")

Azerbaijan plans to double natural gas supplies to Europe by 2027, said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Sofia. Bulgaria and 9 other ЕU countries are not participating in the joint procurement of ammunition for Ukraine, President Rumen Radev said in Brussels ahead of the European Council summit. 17 countries agreed to joint procurement of ammunition for Ukraine. "Bulgaria is committed to producing projectiles for the needs of our partners, if they request it, not for Ukraine", President Radev added. 

Bulgaria has paid over 383 million euros for the purchase of Azeri gas in 2022. This was reported by the Russian news agency "Interfax" on Wednesday, citing unpublished data from the European Statistics Agency.

The amount represents an eightfold increase compared to the previous year, the agency notes.

In May of this year, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will open its office in Bulgaria. This is a sign of the serious intentions to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy. This was stated by President Rumen Radev after a video conference call with his colleague Ilham Aliyev, which took place in Baku, announced the press office of the head of state.
