NOVI SAD - The speaker of the assembly of Serbia's Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians leader Istvan Pastor died on Monday after a serious illness, aged 68.

Born in Majdan, Novi Knezevac municipality, in 1956, Pastor was a jurist by profession.

As a symbol of work, large infrastructure projects and investments, everything that has been done in Serbia since the SNS was the main pillar of the Serbian government, the Arena is adorned with the "Bagi Radia" excavator.

Deputies of the nationalist Serbian Radical Party in the assembly of Serbia's province of Vojvodina have collected more than 30,000 signatures supporting the opening of another Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Centre in Vojvodina alongside the one in Nis.

SUBOTICA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic ceremonially opened an Ametek business campus in Subotica, northern Serbia, on Wednesday.

Pastor said this after consultations with Vucic about the new PM, but declined to elaborate on the statement, adding it was his personal impression.

NOVI SAD - President of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) Istvan Pastor said Tuesday that he expected to meet with Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic very soon to agree "a deal in principle" with him after he had stated his plan to propose Pastor as president of the Vojvodina Assembly.
