Average daily coronavirus count down as hospitalisations fall below 500
Ljubljana – Slovenia confirmed 952 coronavirus cases on Tuesday, a drop of 21% from the same day a week ago, to push the 7-day average to 728 from 764 the day before. Covid-19 hospitalisations dropped below 500 again, but four patients died, data released by the government show.
Slovenia logs 1,439 coronavirus cases as falling trend kept up
Ljubljana – Slovenia recorded 1,439 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday as a record of more than 44,500 tests were performed amid increased requirements for mass rapid testing among several occupations. Still, the daily case count is down almost 8% from a week ago.
Slovenia’s daily coronavirus count over 3,000 for first time
Ljubljana – A total of 3,354 coronavirus infections were confirmed in Slovenia on Tuesday from a combined 22,194 PCR and rapid antigen tests, the highest daily number of cases yet, as the positivity rate for PCR tests hit a record high, government data show. A further 31 Covid-19 patients lost their lives.
Long lines as voluntary mass testing begins
Ljubljana/Celje – Voluntary trial mass testing started in several Slovenian towns on Tuesday, with long lines reported in big towns. In Ljubljana, people waited about two hours to get tested around noon. In Celje, the waiting time is also more than an hour.
