Top French diplomat due in Turkey for bilateral talks
The Turkish and French top diplomats, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Jean Yves Le Drian, will meet in the Turkish capital on June 13 to discuss a wide-range of issues including the Syrian war, the tension in the eastern Mediterranean Sea and Turkey's troubled European Union agenda as well as bilateral political issues.
Turkish EU minister to visit Paris after YPG crisis
Turkey's EU Minister Ömer Çelik will travel to Paris on April 4 for talks with French Foreign Minister Jean Yves Le Drian, in a first in-person meeting since ties were strained over French President Emmanuel Macron's reception of representatives of the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) at the Elysée Palace.
French foreign minister congratulates CHP head for 'justice march'
French Foreign Minister Jean Yves le Drian has congratulated Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for his "justice march" from the capital Ankara to Istanbul.
Le Drian and Kılıçdaroğlu held a meeting at the latter's office at parliament on Sept. 15, attended by CHP Deputy Chair Öztürk Yılmaz.

India, France Strike Rafale Deal
After long dilly-dallying, India signed a contract with France on Friday for acquiring 36 Rafale fighter jets. Under the agreement, French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation SA is likely to deliver those fighter jets between 36 and 66 months from the date (September 23) the contract is signed in New Delhi.
