Bulgarian President-Elect Radev To Visit Brussels First

The first visit of President-elect Rumen Radev will be to Brussels.

A week after his assuming office, on January 30 or 31, Radev will travel to the Belgian capital. The information about the visit was sent from the office of the new president and signed by journalist Elena Yoncheva who is expected to become part of Radev's team.

Trump: NATO is obsolete

BELGRADE - NATO's senior officials are concerned about remarks by US President-elect Donald Trump who said that the alliance is an obsolete organization, German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, said on Monday upon arrival at a meeting of the European Union's Foreign Ministers.

NATO hails Turkish-Russian brokered Syrian truce

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has congratulated Ankara for its efforts in brokering a nationwide ceasefire in Syria in a phone call to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. 

According to diplomatic sources, Stoltenberg conveyed NATO's messages for the cease-fire agreement in Syria struck after joint efforts from Turkey and Russia. 

World condemns assassination of Russian ambassador Karlov

Condolences have poured in for Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov who was assassinated by a police officer at an art exhibition in Ankara on Dec. 19.

British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson and the country's envoy to Ankara, Richard Moore, took to Twitter to denounce the killing, saying that their "thoughts are with his family."
