He demands that the Prime Minister of that country, Ariel Henry, does not resign, the BBC reports.
Chrizier issued the public threat as members of his gang attempt to seize control of the city's main airport to prevent Henry's return from abroad.
It was reported that the riots had spread to other cities, while a prison riot took place in the city of Jacmel.

Haiti pushes back school year start

Haitian authorities are postponing the start of the school year by one month, as the Caribbean nation grapples with an economic crisis that has caused a fuel shortage and soaring prices.

The Ministry of National Education released a statement announcing that "the start of the school year for the 2022-2023 academic year is now set for Monday, Oct. 3, 2022" instead of Sept. 5.
