Heralding the debut of leading mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili in the role of Charlotte, the Greek National Opera (nationalopera.gr) is staging a revival of the late Spyros Evangelatos' 2014 production of Jules Massenet's "Werther," this time showing at the Stavros Niarchos Stage, with Francesco Demuro, who thrilled audiences in the GNO's recent production of "Rigoletto" at the Herod Atticus

Easter at St Paul's | Athens | April 24
The program of Easter concerts at St Paul's Anglican Church continues on Wednesday, April 24, with a double bill. At 8 p.m., Magda Mavroyianni (narrative), Marissa Papalexiou (soprano), Natalia Gerakis (flute) and Dimitris Yakas (piano) will present "Mary Magdalene," a program of music by Jules Massenet, Andre Caplet, Antonius Divitis, Theodoros Karyotakis and Ottorino Respighi.

Manon | Athens | December 12-30
Fifty-two years after its first production of one of the most famous operas in the French repertory, the Greek National Opera returns to Jules Massenet's "Manon," in a new reading by Thomas Moschopoulos, who addresses the theme of ambivalence and takes inspiration from the present, as well as from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Snow Queen | Athens | December 17-27
The Kiev National Opera Ballet will be performing "The Snow Queen" at the Athens Concert Hall in a series of shows from December 17 to 27. Choreographed by Aniko Rekhviashvili, the two-act ballet is based on the much-loved fairy tale penned by Hans Christian Andersen, with music by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Anatoly Lyadov, Anton Rubinstein, Edvard Grieg and Jules Massenet. Shows start at 4 p.m.
