The so-called war coalition ("PAN") in Kosovo, led by the PDK party, has failed to garner a majority to elect its candidate for speaker of the Kosovo Assembly.
This pre-election coalition is now seeking a new postponement - "not more than 14 days" - in order to secure a majority.
Former Kosovo PM Rexhepi Dies in Turkey
Bajram Rexhepi, the first elected Prime Minister of Kosovo following the 1999 war of independence, died on Monday at the age of 63 in a hospital in Turkey, where he had been receiving treatment for months following a stroke in April this year.
News of the death of Rexhepi was confirmed by his Kosovo Democratic Party, PDK.

Kosovo Parliament Fails to Vote for Speaker Again
Kosovo's parliament did not continue its constitutive session on Friday because it was again boycotted by PAN - a coalition made up of the Kosovo Democratic Party, PDK, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK and the Initiative for Kosovo, NISMA.

Boycott Delays Vote on Kosovo Parliament Speaker
The PAN coalition, which has 39 out of 120 parliamentary seats, had the right to propose the candidate for parliamentary speaker, but decided on Thursday not to attend the parliamentary session, causing the vote to be postponed.

Kosovo's ex-Warriors Team up in Big Coalition
A grand coalition between the Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK, led by Kadri Veseli, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, led by Ramush Haradinaj and Fatmir Limaj's initiative for Kosovo, NISMA, was agreed on Tuesday night - minutes before the deadline set by the Central Election Commission, CEC, to establish pre-election coalitions expired.

Top Politicians Spurn PM's Post in Kosovo Elections

Kosovo Delays Border Deal Vote Until Wednesday
Kosovo's government has postponed sending the controversial agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro to parliament for a vote until Wednesday.
Prime Minister Isa Mustafa delayed the vote after a meeting with the speaker of parliament, Kadri Veseli, and the US ambassador Greg Delawie.
