Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said on Thursday that a proposal for ethnic Albanians living in southern Serbia's Presevo Valley to join Kosovo will be one of the topics at his EU-mediated meeting with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic on September 7 in Brussels.

According to reports in Albanian language media, the Tirana air traffic control directed Behgjet Pacolli's private plane used by the delegation to the airspace of the Serb entity (RS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina - that is "controlled by relevant Serb services."

The presidents of Kosovo and Serbia, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic, will resume their EU-sponsored negotiations in Brussels after Vucic meets France's Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday to talk about Kosovo and other issues.

Jetish Maloku, the head of basic Prosecution in Gjilan/Gnjilan, told BIRN that five Serbs detained on Tuesday in raids at five different locations in the eastern town of Gjilan/Gnjilane, were released.

"They are free, we are investigating. We are analysing all the evidences that has been confiscated," he added.

Marko Djuric told a press conference on Tuesday that unless Kosovo releases five Serbs arrested on Tuesday in the Kosovo town of Gnjilan/Gjilan by the evening, Belgrade will halt its talks with Pristina "for a long time".

The speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Kadri Veseli, accompanied by a delegation of political parties' representatives, is visiting the Austrian capital Vienna on Thursday to lobby for an agreement with the EU on visa liberalisation.

Members of the Kosovo parliament will discuss the government's official platform on the dialogue with Serbia during Monday's session.

Ramush Haradinaj's government approved the platform in April, which includes a proposal for President Hashim Thaci to lead the EU-led dialogue with Serbia.

In an open letter published on Monday, the speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, has presented his own "consensual platform" for the EU-led talks with Serbia in Brussels, following the proposal of the government for a "state platform" on the talks.

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj on Friday sought the immediate removal of the head of Kosovo's Intelligence Agency, Driton Gashi, and the Interior Minister, Flamur Sefaj, after a group of Turkish citizens were arrested and reportedly deported on Thursday without his knowledge.
