More than BGN 200 million will be allocated for hospital care from 2020, the government announced on October 7 after a meeting at the Council of Ministers with the trade union CITUB and the Health Minister Kiril Ananiev, amid a national protest by medical professionals, BNT reported.

New 25 ambulances were provided for Emergency Aid. The keys were handed over by Health Minister Kiril Ananiev.

Innovative blood donation technology is being introduced in Bulgaria, which will give more security to the people who take part in such noble initiatives. It allows for accurate and rapid examination of the donated blood for hepatitis and HIV.

The National Assembly adopted the final amendments to the Railway Transport Act. The Railway Accident Investigation Unit will be directly subordinated to the Council of Ministers, BNR reports.

Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev signed a decision to open a public procurement contract with the subject: "Selection of a contractor for engineering (design, construction and author supervision) of the National Multi-Profile Children's Hospital".

The registered cases of measles in Bulgaria as of June 17th are 933, said Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev during the parliamentary control.

Measles infected number is growing, 90% of cases among Romanies.

Nurses gathered in front of the Metropolitan Tokuda Acibaden City Hospital to demand higher pay and better working conditions. The protesters spoke of pressure exerted by directors of private and state hospitals for their involvement in such manifestations of dissatisfaction.

"For the government, tourism is one of the main priorities of the management program: the executive is consistent in achieving its goal in this sector - the affirmation of Bulgaria as a year-round tourist destination," said Deputy Prime Minister Mariana Nikolova at the annual meeting with branch organizations, of local and state power, quoted by the press service of the Council of Ministers.

The state will allocate BGN 27 mln for the completion of the building of the new hospital in Yambol, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov announced during his visit to the city. Together with him were Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev and Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov.
 

The Cabinet of Ministers has voted an additional BGN 50 million in the budget of the Ministry of Health for raising the salaries of nurses and healthcare professionals, it became known at the beginning of the regular session of the government. Starting salaries for both groups will be 950 leva, reports Dnevnik.
