Road builders from across Bulgaria are protesting today. They threaten to block key routes.

Their dissatisfaction is against the fact that road repairs have been suspended due to debts of the state treasury in the amount of one billion levs (BGN) to road construction companies.

The potential for strengthening cooperation with Amazon and Google was discussed by Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov during his meetings today with representatives of the two technology companies. Prime Minister Petkov talked with Isabella Groegor-Cechowicz, vice president of sales at EMEA Amazon, as well as Google representatives Slav Petrov and Igor Zgrabljic.

Bulgaria will have an Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology. Its official launch was given at a ceremony at the National Palace of Culture.

"Bulgaria expects to receive its OECD Roadmap to begin work on it", Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said during a meeting in Delphi with Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Mathias Cormann. The Prime Minister expressed hope that there will be positive progress on the issue in the next few months.

"A special group of Bulgarian military under the command of the Chief of Military Intelligence Gen. Venelin Venev is in Mariupol to pull the sailors from the Bulgarian ship blocked there." This was announced by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov during the blitz control in the parliament.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov answered a journalistic question about the actions of the Bulgarian state towards the Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova.

He explained specifically why she has not been declared a persona non grata so far:

"We have a clearly written coalition agreement, which we strictly abide by. We observe all our actions to be in unison with it. As Prime Minister, I have no right in any way, nor will I try to make any agreements, we have a framework position, a declaration." This was stated by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov about Bulgaria's position towards North Macedonia.

The European Commission is giving the green light to Bulgaria's Recovery and Sustainability Plan. This was stated by the president of the commission Ursula von der Leyen from the Granite Hall of the Council of Ministers in Sofia at a joint press conference with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, at which they presented the National Plan for Reconstruction and Sustainability of Bulgaria.

Buses brought supporters of the far-right political party "Vazrazhdane" (Revival) to protest in front of the parliament building. Among them were people that had the symbol "Z" written on clothes, posters, flags. The "Z" symbol is a pro-Kremlin symbol of the Russian war in Ukraine.

Bulgaria's Recovery and Sustainability Plan has been finally approved by Brussels, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said:

"We can all congratulate each other that Bulgaria already has a very good and working plan."
