"66 health workers were hospitalized," Kon added, pointing out that 31 percent of those infected come from Belgrade.
Kon said that most patients were accommodated in the Stark Arena, as many as 480 people, while KBC Zvezdara was in second place with 404 patients.

He explained in the morning program on "Pink" television that it was a "paradox".
Kon explained that paradox with the fact that death comes three or four weeks after the infection, and by then the situation in our country may improve, when it comes to the number of infected people.

Kon told RTS that the numbers still show that we have no "zero" situation anywhere.
He pointed out that the creation of collective immunity without vaccination would take several years, so much is expected from the vaccine.
"Miracle is expected from a vaccine, and miracles generally don't happen", Kon pointed out.

On the occasion of the leap in the number of newly infected with the COVID-19 virus, Kon added for "Blic" that even if there is another wave, he believes that there will be no need to introduce a state of emergency.

Commenting on the slight leap in the number of new patients in the previous days, Kon said that hotspots had appeared in Novi Pazar and Tutin.
"The appearance of new cases on respirators does not confirm the assumption that the virus has weakened. If it attacked someone who is chronically ill, it would be very dangerous," Kon said.

Kon told Prva TV that people were disciplined while there were restrictive measures, and now it's all about the question of our attitude and personal responsibility.

"We have reached the end, it is time to relax and I agree with Dr Nedstorovic (Branimir) that it is time to suspend the measures. We just need to respect a distance of one meter. Approaching people to less than one meter brings the possibility of contracting anything the other person has, not just coronavirus, "Kon explains to Pink.

He states that the so-called "wads" can also appear during the month of June.
"We are definitely coming out of the epidemic period. During yesterday, we were at 0.8 percent positive from the number of tested. When it falls below 0.5, it is a sporadic occurrence," Kon told RTS.
Kon said that for now, there is no talk of opening nursing homes.

Kon told Prva TV that Serbia has not yet introduced the obligatory wearing of masks.
"Although it was in the draft and it exists as a draft, so it can be introduced at any time, if the situation worsens," he said.
According to him, it is important that vulnerable groups, such as those over 65, and the chronically ill, wear masks.

"You remember when I said in the 6th week that we were at half time. It is now the 12th week and we are slowly finishing that second half," he said, adding that "we don't need overtime."
Kon says that the situation in Serbia is "not bad", but that we will have more deaths.
He also expects the virus to appear sporadically over the summer.
