Foreclosures, other court operations to be suspended for elections
Court operations and auctions of foreclosed homes will be suspended from May 17 to 24, due to the national elections on May 21, according to a circular by Justice Minister Konstantinos Tsiaras released on Tuesday.
Specifically, the circular outlined that civil and criminal court operations in Athens and Thessaloniki will be suspended from May 17 to 26.

Court season extended to clear case backlog
In a bid to clear the backlog that has accumulated due to the shutdown of the country's court system and in anticipation of the easing of the lockdown next month, the government has drafted legislation for a mass write-off of cases that are considered less serious crimes and for which the law provides for sentences of up to one year in prison.

Inquiry ordered into coroner's sexual abuse claim for infant
Justice Minister Konstantinos Tsiaras ordered on Wednesday a disciplinary inquiry into a coroner who claimed that an 11-month-old infant who died in a hospital in Athens last week had been sexually abused.
The purpose of the investigation is to establish whether there was any misconduct on the part of Sotiris Bouzianis, one of the coroners that performed the autopsy.
