Slovakia to help reform public administration in Serbia
BELGRADE - Serbia will be able to rely on Slovakia's assistance on the way to the European Union, as its experts will share their experience from Slovakia's EU accession process to assist Serbia's public administration workers in creating a more professional, abler and better prepared public administration in Serbia.

Kori Udovicki has said that she encountered "the biggest problem with the Ministry of Finance, that is looking to hire more people."
Udovicki is one of deputy prime ministers in the Serbian government, also in charge of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.

Serbian Parliament Mulls Public Sector Layoffs
The Serbian parliament on Monday discussed the government's legislative proposal for public sector employment which envisages that around 9,000 people will be laid off by the end of 2015, most of them in the education, justice and healthcare sectors.

"No linear job cuts in public sector"
The streamlining of the number of public sector employees "will not be conducted in a linear fashion, but only where there is a surplus to requirements."
This is what Serbian Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki said on Monday, announcing that the new law on this will remain in place until 2018.

Public sector layoffs to begin "before September"
First dismissals in the state administration should start before September, Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki says.
According to her, 9,000 employees who are surplus to requirements should be dismissed by the end of the year.

It has been established that the Serbian public administration has a surplus of around 9,000 employees, Kori Udovicki said on Monday.
The minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government added that they should "leave" by the end of this year.
Council for National Minorities holds constitutive session
BELGRADE - The Council for National Minorities on Wednesday held a constitutive session, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki.
