Bulgaria: Ninova and BSP met with the President for Consultations
President Rumen Radev continues the political consultations for forming a government with the parliamentary groups in the 49th National Assembly. Shortly after 1:00 p.m., the meeting with the representatives of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) began.
Borissov and Ninova - Different Positions for Ukraine but ready to Work Together on Social Policy
The leaders of GERB - Boyko Borissov and of BSP - Kornelia Ninova, held an informal meeting in the National Assembly building. After it, it became clear that the red lines remain between the parties regarding weapons and the war in Ukraine, but there is a readiness for the formations to work together on social policies. Ninova commented after the meeting:
President Radev: There is No Dialogue between Bulgaria and North Macedonia
President Rumen Radev commented on the statement of his Macedonian colleague Stevo Pendarovski that there is a lack of dialogue between the two countries. Over the past 10 years, I have invited the president of North Macedonia to visit Bulgaria at least ten times, Radev reminded:

The question of changing the leadership in the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) does not stand. Party leader Kornelia Ninova will not resign, despite the historically poor result of Sunday's vote.
This became clear at the BSP's first briefing after the elections, in which the party received 8.94%.
