North Macedonia Demands Compensation from Bulgaria if it has to Pay the "Russian Gas" Tax
If the extraordinary energy tax on the transfer and transit of Russian natural gas through Bulgarian territory is introduced for the Republic of North Macedonia, the country will request compensation from Bulgaria and additional support from the European Union.
This was announced by the Minister of Economy of North Macedonia, Kreshnik Bekteshi, quoted by BTA.

GEN-I launches largest solar plant in North Macedonia
Slovenian energy company GEN-I has constructed the largest solar plant in North Macedonia, which will generate 25,000 megawatt hours of green energy to meet the needs of more than 5,500 households, GEN-I said in a statement on Tuesday. The plant was connected to the Macedonian grid in September but the inauguration event was held in the capital of Skopje on Tuesday.

The government of the Republic of North Macedonia adopted measures to save electricity up to 15 percent. Recommendations are provided for households and companies, and specific obligations are introduced for state institutions, which must be complied with, otherwise sanctions will follow, MIA reported.
