Whether that will really happen is unknown for now, but these days, there are suggestions for just that - for America to be more engaged in Montenegro. According to Blic, they come from former American diplomats who, in addition to that idea, warn of "Serbian nationalism in the country", but also of Moscow's attempts to "use it to destabilize the Balkans".

Serbia said on Tuesday it was not considering participating in a mooted peacekeeping mission in Ukraine after a US official said Belgrade was among a number of capitals willing to contribute.

Serbia's Defence Ministry has declined to respond to questions about whether Serbia will send peacekeepers to eastern Ukraine, as Kurt Volker, the US Special Representative for Ukraine, has suggested it will.

"This speaks to the international position of Serbia and that's why it should be utilized," the first deputy PM and foreign minister told RTS on Friday.

As a "neutral venue," Belgrade last fall hosted meetings between Russian and US Ukraine crisis envoys, Vladislav Surkov and Kurt Volker.

The United Nations should consider a force of some 20,000 soldiers from non-NATO countries and 4,000 police to help resolve the crisis in Ukraine, according to a new report to be presented to top officials this week.

The US representative on Ukraine, Kurt Volker, and Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy, Vladislav Surkov, are to meet in Belgrade again, the Serbian media have reported.

Experts see the meetings as diplomatic fruit for the country's "two chairs" policy of balancing between West and East.

The next meeting withing the framework of the Moscow-Washington dialogue on Ukraine will be held in Belgrade on November 13.

Special US representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker and Russian president's aide Vladislav Surkov will speak in the Serbian capital once again - after their first meeting on October 9.

Serbian First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced on Saturday that Russian and US envoys for the Ukraine crisis had met in Belgrade.

NOVI SAD - Serbia supports the territorial integrity of Span and will not accept any unilateral acts by Catalonia, Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said Thursday.

"We do not want what has been applied to Kosovo to be applied in the case of Catalonia," Dacic told the RTV after a meeting with the Spanish ambassador to Serbia.
