Mitsotakis plans second ENFIA real estate tax cut in 2020
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his oration during the parliamentary debate on the 2020 state budget announced an eight percent cut of real estate taxes as of next year. The solidarity contribution will also be reduced.
The budget was passed with 158 votes in the 300-member legislature.

This first draft budget presented by the government of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis foresees the economy expanding by 2.8 percent on an annual basis, up from a projected 2 percent in 2019, and also includes tax breaks of almost 1.2 billion euros.

ND MP calls for special relationship with Turkey
New Democracy MP and former foreign minister Dora Bakoyannis has proposed that the European Union establish a "special partnership" with Turkey based on the precondition that Ankara accepts the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice in The Hague with the aim of reaching a settlement on the issues of continental shelf and the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) with Greece.

PM considering politician for president
Tensions in Greek-Turkish relations may influence Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' choice for President of the Republic by selecting a politician, instead of a non-political figure, sources close to the premier have said.
The final choice of candidate is expected to be announced near the end of January 2020.
